After a long nine year wait, the New York Mets are the National League East Champions.
Since 2006 the Mets couldn’t secure a spot in the playoffs, but as of Saturday, September 26th the Mets finally did, beating the Cincinnati Reds with a score of 10-2.
I’m very excited that they clinched because I’ve been a long time mets fan and i’m really happy to see them winning and being on top,” U.S history teacher Michael Tesler said.
The Mets will face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League division series, since the Dodgers beat the Giants with a score of 8-0.
“I thought they did really good and they should keep it up, I hope they win the championship because they are my favorite team, and I would love to see them win it all,” 8th grader Abigail Rivera said.
